Redesigning Utrust’s Crypto Payment Gateway
I conducted a thorough UX audit for all products and redesigned the Payment Gateway and Payment Flow in collaboration with the team. The major additions were integrating De-Fi wallets and improving navigation. User interviews validated assumptions, revealing preferences for personal wallets and Bitcoin for larger payments. The achievements included support for new currencies, a smoother payment flow, cost reduction, and improved customer support for authenticated users. Close collaboration with the team ensured a successful outcome.
Creating the Design System of Utrust
At Utrust, inconsistent User Experience prompted a redesign and the creation of a comprehensive Design System. Following Atomic Design principles, the system offered adaptive components, while accessibility and a unified design language were emphasized. The impact was significant, with faster workflows and improved collaboration between designers and developers. The Design System continues to evolve and has been instrumental in revamping the Payment Gateway and developing a new product, with Storybook serving as a React Components hub for easy maintenance and documentation.
Building the Social App of GenZ
At Catch Social, we set out to create a unique social app with a real-world feel. We explored various design ideas, including a grid view where users could interact as they got closer to each other. However, after testing with real users, we decided to pivot to "Dance Floor," a 3D environment where people could dance and hang out with friends. Although it was fun, the 3D experience was heavy for devices. So, we pivoted again to "WDYT," a shared shopping experience where users could browse together and provide feedback. Throughout the journey, I learned a lot from my talented teammates and the challenges of creating a distinct social app.
Making sure passwords are safe and sound
Password safety is a significant issue, and I've always admired a software engineer who provided detailed guides on internet-related topics. When this engineer mentioned working on an "Open-Source password vault," I eagerly offered my design assistance. We collaborated on this multi-platform application, which includes browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, mobile apps for iOS and Android, desktop apps for macOS and Windows, and a web app.
